Vishwas a.k.a Vzx :
All people as me one question - what does Vzx mean? Well the story is all here. I won’t go into the details on this page.
Humble Beginings:
I'll try to describe my self in a nutshell - If that is possible. I am a 23 year old doctor from India, who is a complete technology freak and a computer geek. I share my birthday with the great Indian Music Composer R.D. Burman (27th June) and so call it fate, but I have a zest for music. Ever since I was 7 years old, I had a keen interest towards music and was formally trained for 3 years for playing the keyboard. Unfortunately Ahmedabad (My hometown) is not a city where parents like to see their wards grow up and be a professional musician. Gujarat (my state) is known for its orthodox parental mindset "a child has to be a doctor, engineer, C.A. or a lawyer". Although the mindset is changing rapidly and now we see a whole lot of architects, musicians, and other semi-professional careers.
Coming back to my story - I had to leave my training to concentrate on my studies. It was always study, study and study for me. Even my schooling was not very encouraging. I studied in Trinity School up to my 10th std. (the school was the best time of my life as far as education was concerned, but it never encouraged it's students into non-academic extracurricular activities because of lack of infrastructure). I made the best of my friends in school - Mrunal, Vinita, Deep, Atul, Bhavik, and many more. Anyway, it was always studies for most part of my schooling.
St. Xavier's Loyola:
All that hard study finally paid off - I got great marks in my senior secondary boards and got admission into St. Xavier's high school Loyola Hall. It was the best thing that could happen to me. I've made some everlasting friends here, had the opportunity to explore my creative potentials, met the best professors one could imagine (Kothari Sir & D.K. Sir). You name it and the school offered it. Read more on my school memories in my blog. But as fate would have it, I choose the science stream. So although the school provided an ambience of activity, I and most of my class mates were mostly busy preparing for the all important Higher Secondary Board exams. Yet, I could not deny the fact that, the time spent at St. Xavier's Loyola was the best time of my life till date. It was here that I met my computer guru, Ishaan Dalal. (hehe.. I'm sure he's going to thrash me for saying that)
NHLMMC:
Good marks in Higher Secondary boards landed me in Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College (NHLMMC). The college was not all that fun, esp. with all the medical studies and clinical workload, but I still had a wonderful time for the 5.5 years of my college life. It is here that my zest for music returned and I formed my band "Cochlear Tempest". I experienced some eye-openers during my clinical postings regarding the state of public health affairs in my country. And I want to change all that. So my next destination is a higher education in USA in Public health. Let's see what Fate has to offer.
Online Friends:
During my frequent nocturnal visits to NokiaFree, looking for troubleshooting answers for my N-gage phone, I met one of my best online friends - Sachin Khosla (Realin). We have bonded so well that no one can tell us apart now. We're like brothers, if nothing less. He introduced me to IRC and that where I met the rest of the gang: Ally (Jagannath) and DareDevil / DD (Sudheer). We all share nothing in common, and yet, we are the best chums there could be. Our friendship is a cross-country link as we hail from different corners of the country- Me (Gujarat - West India). Realin (Chandigarh - North India), DareDevil (Hyderabad - SouthEast India) and Ally (Tirupur - South India).
That's about it - check out my blog to know more about me.
